Start with the foundation — bouncing ball. It turned out that without systematic education in animation before, I couldn’t draw a little ball properly even though I had managed a whole short film. Previously I have read books and watched video courses about the principles of animation, but I still make mistakes in practice. Timing, spacing, everything has its point.
Here are some notes for myself:
· There shouldn’t be too much squash when the ball hits the ground.
· The rhythm of bouncing and the deformation of figure reflect the material and weight.
· Practice makes perfect!
This may be a ping-pong. I tried to make it look like a different material, without squash and stretch, and with more bouncing before it stoped.
