Long time ago I’ve heard that quadruped walk was difficult to handle. Luckily we had real cute puppies to be our models. The life drawing was a chill but cheerful experience — the enthusiastic dogs warmed our hearts.

Live drawing makes it easy to quickly capture the dog’s dynamics and physical features. Through the slow-motion videos, I could watch the breakdown of walking and running frame by frame.

Moreover, the visit to the Grant Museum of Zoology allowed me to take a closer look at the anatomical features of various animals, especially their bone structures. I think I will make time to go there again.

Besides, I really appreciate this clip from 101 Dalmatians that animated a variety of dogs and their personalities, as well as the personalities of their human owners.

ASSIGNMENT

Finally it is the presentation: 2D animation of walking and running, and stop-motion animation of walking.
